Are you ready for a detox?

Detoxing seems to be on everyone's minds this week as we start the New Year. The new year is the perfect opportunity to get a jump start on eating clean, eliminating more efficiently and resetting your diet to feel more vibrant and energetic.

Detox plans can vary in course length from 11 days to 28 days, depending on your toxic burden and health concerns. The body is designed to naturally break down and eliminate the toxins we are exposed to in our environment and food, however, our system can become overburdened which leads to an imbalance in the body and an array of symptoms. This can include brain fog, mood swings, fatigue, insomnia, bloating, digestive issues, constipation, allergies, asthma, hormone imbalance, joint pain, headaches and more.

Following a personalized detox plan will provide support for energy metabolism, elimination, and enhanced metabolic detoxification processes. Many people believe that fasting is a part of detoxification. Detoxification actually involves the use of specific foods and nutrients to support your body's ability to effectively eliminate toxins and prevent their recirculation.

How often should you detox? A detox should be done at least twice a year and is often timed with the change of seasons and the start of the new year. Whatever time that you choose to complete a detox, be sure to follow a safe and effective program to ensure the best results. After completing your program, it is an ideal time to reevaluate your diet and lifestyle plan. We can work together to develop a nutrition and lifestyle plan to help you continue your wellness goals.
